Lokrang 2026: Folk Dance & Crafts Festival at Jawahar Kala Kendra
Lokrang 2026 runs from 27 October to 6 November at Jawahar Kala Kendra on JLN Marg, according to JKK's official October calendar, which bills it as a national-level festival of folk dance and handicrafts. It is JKK's flagship annual event and one of the best free things to do in Jaipur in the run-up to Diwali. The format has two halves. Each evening from 7 pm to 10 pm, folk troupes from Rajasthan and other states perform on the open-air Madhyavarti stage in the centre of the complex, so in a single evening you can watch several regional dance forms back to back. Through the day, from 11 am to 9 pm, the Shilpgram ground hosts a handicraft fair where artisans sell textiles, pottery, jewellery, leatherwork and festive décor. JKK's calendar states that entry to all its programmes and exhibitions is free. Because the festival ends on Dhanteras, 6 November, the crafts fair doubles as a Diwali shopping stop for diyas, gifts and home décor bought directly from makers.
