Theatre & Plays in Jaipur
3 events coming up across Jaipur โ mostly theatre (3).
Jaipur's theatre lives on two government stages. Jawahar Kala Kendra on JLN Marg presents plays in its Rangayan auditorium most weeks, runs its own theatre festival and a Ramlila-based drama festival around Dussehra, usually with free entry. Ravindra Manch in Ram Niwas Bagh is the older home of the city's Hindi theatre groups, with festivals, competitions and children's theatre workshops in the summer holidays. Touring productions, from Hindi comedies to large musical and devotional stage shows, use Birla Auditorium at Statue Circle, Maharana Pratap Auditorium and the Rajasthan International Centre. Most work is in Hindi, with some Rajasthani and English plays; local productions cost little, while touring shows are priced like concerts. Folk forms such as kathputli puppetry appear at festivals and at village resorts like Chokhi Dhani. This page lists plays, theatre festivals, musicals and drama workshops across Jaipur.
