Art Exhibitions & Gallery Shows in Jaipur

Jaipur's art calendar turns over fast because its main gallery complex is public and free. Jawahar Kala Kendra on JLN Marg has several galleries, among them Sukriti, Surekh, Sudarshan and Alankar, that host solo and group shows of painting, photography and sculpture for a few days at a time. For contemporary work on a larger scale, Madhavendra Bhawan at Nahargarh Fort houses the Sculpture Park, where Indian and international sculpture is shown in the palace's old apartments. Albert Hall Museum and the City Palace museum hold the historic collections, from miniature paintings to textiles and arms, and the Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing in Amer covers block-printed cloth.
