About Jaigarh Fort
Jaigarh Fort stands on the Cheel ka Teela ridge about 400 metres above Amber Fort, to which it is linked by passages. It was the defensive stronghold of the pair and became a cannon foundry; the Jaivana, cast here in 1720, was the largest cannon on wheels of its day. The fort is run by the Jaigarh Public Charitable Trust and is open from 9 am to 6:30 pm. Its ramparts and courtyards are increasingly used for ticketed culture: the Jaigarh Heritage Festival, a ticketed winter festival, is listed here from 18 December 2026, with passes advertised from ₹2,499 to ₹8,499.
