Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) 2027: 8–12 January

The 19th Jaipur International Film Festival is scheduled for 8 to 12 January 2027 in Jaipur, according to the festival's website. JIFF has been run by the Jaipur International Film Festival Trust since 2009 and is known for the sheer number of films in competition, across features, documentaries, shorts and animation. Two things are worth knowing before you plan around it. First, the organisers say the 2027 edition will be more selective and dedicated to film-industry professionals and nominated film-makers, so public access may be narrower than in earlier years; check the festival's registration page for what delegate options are open. Second, the screening venues had not been named on the festival site when this page was written. The previous edition, the 18th, was held in New Delhi in February 2026. Outside the festival, Jaipur's film culture has other outlets: Raj Mandir, the 1976 single-screen cinema off MI Road, is an experience in itself, Jawahar Kala Kendra programmes screenings and talks, and film clubs run shows in cafés and studios. JIFF ends two days before the Jaipur Literature Festival opens on 14 January. This page lists festival screenings and other film events in Jaipur.
