Things to do in Kukas & Delhi Road

Kukas is the resort belt on the Delhi highway, beyond Amer and the Aravalli pass. Large palace-style hotels here, among them the Fairmont and Le Méridien, are built for destination weddings and conferences, and they sell some of Jaipur's most elaborate New Year's Eve galas, Holi parties and festive brunches. Nahargarh Biological Park, the forest department's zoo and safari park, is on the same road and makes a good half-day with children. Everything is a 40 to 60 minute drive from the city, with no public transport worth relying on at night, so most guests stay over or book a cab for the full evening.
