Things to do in Sanganer & Pratap Nagar

Sanganer is an old town now absorbed into south Jaipur, known for hand block printing and handmade paper. Workshops and printing units here take visitors for block-printing sessions, which is why craft workshops and textile tours often list a Sanganer address. Jaipur International Airport is beside the town, about 13 km from the centre. Pratap Nagar, the large housing-board colony between Sanganer and Sitapura, has marriage gardens that fill with dandiya nights during Navratri and community melas through the winter. Most events here are neighbourhood-scale and inexpensive. Come by cab along Tonk Road, and allow extra time during airport rush hours.
